Opinions on Jeff Beck?

He's not one of my favorites but I do respect him and consider him one of the greatest guitarists. I can't get into some of his stuff such as Blow by Blow because I'm not into jazz rock that much, ironically I love Santana. What's your opinion on Jeff Beck?
One of my all time favorites and I’m mental for instrumentals. Could play any type of genre, which is the type of player I’m attracted to. Also there is an almost endless list of musicians and singers Jeff preformed with.

Checkout his technique at the Crossroads Festival.

Listen to 1968's "Truth." Rod Stewart on vocals, Ronnie Wood playing bass and Mickey Waller on drums. Not to even mention some of the other greats that did work on that album (like Keith Moon of The Who, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin) which was his debut. It's a masterpiece. I think he was as great at improv as any. At least, in this old rockers heart anyway. Enjoy.
