Definitely a rock guitar solo by Jeff.
Some time ago I had a beautiful discussion with someone about whether Beck was a jazz guitar player or not. We came to the conclusion that whatever Jeff Beck was, he was very important in the lineage of jazz guitar.

@ArtieKat My late grand-uncle had one, which ran at 78rpm, and he had lots of shellac disks!

@helenS My paternal grandfather did too. We had an electric one (with needles which had to be replaced quite frequently). My favourite of the old 78s was "The Washington Post March" but the centre got enlarged and it played asymmetrically.... :-(

@ArtieKat Here's Lester with Miles Davis (!), Salle Pleyel, Paris (1956). Inter-generational jazz!

I feel that Davis is very much the star here.

Finally performing the song that both made famous, together, at the 25th R'n'R Hall of Fame in 2009
@Ghostrunner66 Beck actually recorded it first but Wonder released it first.
@BlueSkyKing And Stevie did write the song.
