@beermeplease That is soooo bittersweet. 😔
beermeplease · M
@LunarOrbit it's gonna be tough as i get a little older and see some of my "idols" die... black sabbath for one... well so many of the greats from the 70s. there's so many. i would love to see ac/dc on more time...i'd pay prime dollar to see angus go wild one more time
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@LunarOrbit him and Stu Copeland are my drum idols .
Eyecing · M
Freddie Mercury
huskyguy89 · 31-35, M
Oh boy, Dimebag Darrel, Layne, Eddie Van Halen, Lemmy...there's a lot Ronnie James Dio the one I miss the most.
huskyguy89 · 31-35, M
@Ferise1 considering Eddie was a big inspiration for Dimebag, yeah. And Layne is a solid singer.

@Ferise1 oh a hundred percent. But one influenced the other's style. But why does that have any bearing on whether we'd bring them back? Stevie Ray Vaughan wasn't metal or rock at all but I would still include him on my list..sure he isn't "rock"

Well, most of rockers died before me earlier before I was born so... I felt nothing because I didn't experienced the news.
I am gonna say Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell.
Since both of them are on of my favorite singer. I stop listening to Audioslave and Linkin Park because I feel no longer the same after hearing their death.
Their song makes me feel deepressed. Although I know, most of their songs made by someone else especially, LP, Shinoda is their composer but when Chester sang it feels eerie something like related to his suicidal message or something. Idk.

Most people won’t know who this is, but my easy answer is Gord Downie. Brilliant lyricist and the best frontman I’ve ever seen.

Oh Meatloaf. I love him. @SarahAndSamantha
SarahAndSamantha · 46-50, F
@Spoiledbrat pair his singing and stage presence with the songwriting talents of Jim Steinman and they were unstoppable! Two of my biggest heros right there, and they're both gone. The world better pray Weird Al stays in good health or I'm gonna explode!
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Obviously Jeff Beck has gone straight onto my list.

Some I can't believe haven't been mentioned that shouldn't be overlooked
Duane Allman
John Bonham
Ronnie Van Zant
Stevie Ray Vaughan
I'm sure if I thought about it, I could come up with many more. It's kind of sad, the sound track of my youth is slowly dying out.

Jon Lord of Deep Purple should also be on the list
Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones
Ginger Baker of Cream
Each and everyone is a loss in some way as they all contributed to making great music
