Yes ! My father took me to see Leontyne Price perform AIDA when I was a child. I especially love Italian operas, although my favorite opera is Carmen.

Leontyne Price! Well, you started out with someone pretty impressive!

Carmen is my wife's favorite as well. We have gone to see it live onstage, and we enjoyed the movie with Placido Domingo.

We recently watched the modern adaptation Carmen Jones, and we were pretty impressed by it.

@DrWatson Did you see the movie with Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Belafonte ? I watched it with my best friend years ago, she said they were "two of the most beautiful people" she’d ever seen.

Yep, that's the one. I knew about that movie's existence for a long time without realizing what it was! I thought it was cleverly done.
