Stuff like that happens to me all the time. I even know some of the basics as to why. I don't expect to be believed but since you bought it up. Machines exist that people use to travel from one parallel universe to another. They often do a lot more than just get you through the membranes. They have a brain interface. You can connect to the machine and through the machine you can connect to other minds. The deeper I go the less believeable I'll be. So, let me cut it short. In a case like that I could be overlapping with someone on an earth a few hours ahead. The next day I see what that person saw the day before.
