I always hated the fact that apple had apple exclusive hardware,
Whereas, with Windows, you can basically build your own PC from scratch, upgrade specific parts, basically have a Frankenstein machine,
The only reason I might even slightly consider an apple machine or iPad or whatever, is if there are apps that can't be obtained on a windows or android

@Fishy Yeah, when our older son was in high school and saw one of his friends playing on a gaming PC, he wanted one. He had saved up about $700, and we specced out a graphics card, motherboard, CPU, etc and got the parts from MicroCenter. Soon enough he had assembled a decent gaming rig and his other friends wanted to do the same.
He ended up showing several of his friends (and our younger son) how to put together a PC, and I acted as backup consultant to troubleshoot the tough problems. It was a great learning experience and a fun time!

@Gibbon unfortunately, MS never crossed Access, Money, VB to the Mac. Actually they abandoned or are in the process of abandoning all of the above themselves. As I recall, at some point, one of the best web page builders was their MS Publisher. Better than some of their web development products. Then they chopped off that feature from Publisher.
