Yet only 42 when he died. I got to visit Graceland and was surprised to find it a somewhat emotional experience. Not just because he’s buried there but in thinking about his very humble beginnings and how he was kinda chewed up and spit out by the system and those around him. He was both a great talent and a cautionary tale.
