Reading lately bout photography

First camera ever made was in 1685. You figure before that anyone had ever seen themselves with their eyes closed? 馃

First Picture ever taken was probably of a landscape and I'm sure the second picture ever taken was a nude. 馃槀

@SW-User Camera obscura don't take photos, though -- at least not originally.

@Punxi The original camera obscuras projected an outside image onto a flat surface in a darkened room.

@ChipmunkErnie Perhaps we should debate the deeper enrichment of the lighting preference instilled in either, in terms of mood vs enlightened venues categorizing the pros and cons of each... alphabetically.

@Punxi Sounds meaningful, but is in reality meaningless?
Convivial26-30, F
I don't think anyone has ever seen themselves with their eyes closed馃
Punxi26-30, F
@Convivial It's that fatal flash blink when the camera pops perhaps.馃
Convivial26-30, F
@Punxi nah, nice try... But I'm gonna call bs on that excuse lol

Had the mirror been invented?
SecondMarge2F
@Punxi Reflective surfaces made of polished obsidian are the oldest "mirrors" in the archaeological record, dating back as far as 4000 BCE. The first evidence of mirrors as grooming tools dates to the 5th century BCE, in illustrations of elegant Greeks gazing at hand mirrors (these illustrations are found on antique pottery).

@Stereoguy One thing I learned...that regardless of a mobile phones pixel count....never ever amount to the resolution film provides. 馃し
