@uncalled4 Actually , Brian pretty much WAS the creative element of the Beach Boys - at least as far as the music went .It's true they he relied on outside help for writing the lyrics .

@DavidT8899 if you enjoy surf sound and that’s okay. But the Classic four we way smoother than them in that era.

@Briggett I respect what the Beatles did and admit they they ultimately surpassed the Beach Boys ,but what can I say ? I have a soft spot in my heart for them.And it wasn't specifically because it was " surf sound " but because it was among the most brilliant Pop music ever written.

Too modern... lol. The first time I heard The Beatles' "A Day in the Life", that was pretty much it for me.
