Being that he’s my favorite artist of all time there is no way I can single out one song. I’ve seen him 24 times live and have yet to see a bad show. So I will throw out an obscure track from the Nylon Curtain album. You really hear his Beatles influence come out here

@TexChik I can sing and/or play every song he’s ever recorded. Early 70’s he did a lot of country sounding records. The Piano Man album is filled with them. He recorded several songs with the Sons of the Pioneers band on that album!

@JesseInTX I saw him somewhere with Elton John. The Piano Man tour, or something like that.

@TexChik they did that tour a few times. It was called Face to Face. Billy sang Goodbye Yellowbrick Road. Elton did My Live once I saw and Piano Man as well.

As mentioned here - so many to choose from.

I just heard a guy cover (well) Scenes from an Italian Restaurant a few weeks ago at a quaint cocktail join here in town. Piano and everything.

I’ll go with the that one for now. Great song.

Man there is so many to pick from. I saw him at a night time concert outside at Carowinds and it was great!

My first favorite was "She's Always a Woman to Me."
My current favorite is a more recent discovery.

A verse Billy wrote for SW,
For all of the weirdos on there:
"I haven't the guts
To deal with the nuts;
They're more than a sane man can bear."

Sing us a song, Mr Piano Man...

"Piano Man", closely followed by "Captain Jack" and "She's Always A Woman"
@ArtieKat Nothing like musical tribites to getting drunk.

Anthony's Song (Movin' Out).
Moving Out. It's the only one of his that might actually be insightful
