An Alex Lifeson Story

@UKNaturist I got rid of mine, and my equipment. Now I wish i hadn't. I must say that, at my age, the sound from Alexa seems as good as that from my hitech equipment.

@samueltyler2 You'd be surprised if you went back to your vinyl on a good system. Whole new experience now that we're used to the processed digital sounds of today

@UKNaturist I have a lot of albums from my GrandDad and Dad. Original copies of 4 Rush albums. Moving Pictures. Permanent Waves. 2112. Hemispheres. I also have an original copy of Frampton Comes Alive

@RockVolleyGirl - I now have a large-ish CD collection which would be a nightmare to store if it was vinyl, so there are some advantages I suppose

@UKNaturist but, those CDs could probably all be stored on a thumb drive.

@samueltyler2 - they are. All ripped and stored on a wifi hard drive

@UKNaturist That's quite the shelving system.

@AnnaWasHere - thank you. Its 9 individual Gnedby cd towers that were bought from Ikea. I've just looked and it appears they no longer sell them

@UKNaturist That maybe explains why some are brown instead of white.

@AnnaWasHere - yes, the original room colour scheme was going to be more suited to brown, so I bought 3 to start me off. Then I changed my mind and had to find a way of incorporating the brown ones

@UKNaturist how many extra screws, etc, did Ikea send? Lol.

@samueltyler2 - not that many to be fair, a couple of extra ones but they were all easy to assemble

@AnnaWasHere I've got IKEA Billy bookshelves in all different colours :-)
