I'll be sitting when the evening comes. Watching the ships roll in, then I'll watch them roll away again. Im sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away.
(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" is a song co-written by soul singer Otis Redding and guitarist Steve Cropper. Redding recorded it twice in 1967, including just three days before his death in a plane crash on December 10, 1967. It was released on Stax Records' Volt label in 1968, becoming the first posthumous #1 single in the US. It reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart. (Wikipedia)
@Bluedreamz I'd like to say either of these to surprise me musically any more. Willie has done an entire album of Frank Sinatra covers, played with Snoop D O Double G, still a great country musician.
