@Shallowaters because this vocal coach i met randomly i was asking her random questions and she made it sound like a long and strenuous road she said there are no shortcuts specifically
then i started googling that but its all to fuzzy for me

Anyone can learn to sing. How hard it is depends on what you're trying to achieve, do you want to make the metropolitan opera, or sound better at Friday night karaoke? There are a lot of other factors into how challenging it will be including what kind of other musical training you've had, whether you are someone that already has a strong command of their vocal chords, and just genetics and natural ability.

**Edit**
Ok ALMOST anyone can learn to sing. There would be some anatomical differences like lacking vocal cords, that could make it impossible to sing. However, as long as your body is capable of producing different pitches from your vocal cords, you can develop the rest through practice and training.

I took lessons from age 12-17. It wasn’t easy at first to really understand it. It was like driving a stick shift. Once you understand and can execute, it gets easier
Not hard at all, anyone can sing. On the other hand being in tune, and sounding good, is a gift.

You might learn to get better, but if you can't sing, you can't sing

I believe that singers are born. Breath control is not easy, neither is singing in a group or with a band. The little I do is rewarding, though. I'm ok with not being "a singer" per se, as I can carry a tune and/or find a harmony part if I'm doing backing vocals.
