It's the interval pattern for the Major scale.

Those are the timing of the notes.

@Jenny1234 Whole and half refer to the intervals between the tones to be played.
C to D is a step of one whole tone,E to F is a step of Half a tone.
That's all it is.
Nothing more complex than that.

Whole steps and half steps
C to C# is a half step. D to E is a whole step.
