Why is "We Built This City On Rock and Roll" so disliked?
I don't mind the song. I think it's good.

I've just read an interview with Grace Slick, lead vocalist (now retired) who said that she was pressured into singing it because it was a sure-fire hit and that they never wrote it.
The lyrics, by Bernie Taupin (of Elton John fame no less) are about the decline of Los Angeles and all the music clubs that were closing at the time.
So...there you go...
Not really my style of music, but I quite like it...
