Why is "We Built This City On Rock and Roll" so disliked?

I don't mind the song. I think it's good.

Cheesy and silly, but nowhere as bad as many make it out to be. If I hear it somewhere, I think of 1985, when everyone was partying and having a great time. Is it Hey Jude? No, but fairly innocuous. Maybe I'll switch to something else

Put on something like My Humps or anything by Hootie, and I want to kill another human being.
