What is it about music?

I see on here and in real life that many (maybe most) people are almost addicted to music, and while I have some favorites, I listen to music maybe a couple of times a month. Even then it's only in the car.

So, for you that can't live without music, what's the deal?

We’re not the only creatures that appreciate and use music. David Attenborough did a BBC documentary on the subject a number of years ago.

It’s extremely important for visual media. The only thing worth I like collecting and it definitively makes a big part of my personality.
