I know it's not a very Halloweenish song but it was on the radio today, possibly because it was used in a movie called "Ghost".

Probably the greatest singing duo in history, although in this instance it's just Bobby Hatfield performing.

Aside from You've Lost That Loving Feeling (a song possibly responsible for two-thirds of people alive today) this is my runner-up favourite of theirs.

@Whodunnit I've heard it before, but not very often. The station I have on plays "Unchained Melody" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" regularly, but rarely any others by the Righteous Brothers.

@HairbrushDiva If I had a voice like Bill Medley I'd be a happy man indeed 😁

I do like it. ☺️

I thought it would be that one! The 1955 film it originally came from didn't leave much of an impression but the song! ♥️♥️ Wow! It was much covered at the time with notably a version by Les Baxter...

and another by Al Hibbler...

Hy Zaret's lyrics are lovely - certainly a cut above the average pop record of the period. When Alex North first tried to pursuade thim to write some words to the tune he'd composed, Zaret protested that he was too busy. It's a good job he relented! ♥️♥️

@supersnipe I haven't heard those versions before. They never play those on the station I have on.

@HairbrushDiva They haven't got a deck with a 78rpm stylus lol. Seriously, there aren't that many people around who remember 1955. There are plenty of people who remember 'Ghost', though...

@supersnipe My parents weren't even alive in 1955. I've seen "Ghost" once and quite frankly it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I like the song though.

I like this song. In fact, the 1990 film, Ghost was where I first heard it.

Yes, I think it's a beautiful song.
