Whilst I don't know much of Santana's music I do like this one, and it's been on the radio today (apparently Carlos Santana is 75 today). [media=https://youtu.be/nPLV7lGbmT4]
I like Black Magic Woman-Gypsy Queen, Europa (Earth's Cry, Heaven's Smile), Oye Como Va, Samba Pa Ti, Evil Ways, Flor D'Luna, Revelations, Guajira, Aqua Marine, Jin-Go-La-Ba, Song Of The Wind and Bella. He has a lot of stuff I haven't heard, though.
@helenS oh yeah Helen...that was all good too. I loved King Crimson and Yes. Anderson (forgot his first name) with Yes...had a great voice and did more stuff after Yes. You have a good memory and listening ears 😊
@helenS I post what I've heard on the radio during the day, it's not always what I like myself. I just like to see how popular those songs are on here.
@Adrift Went to see Santana in Lake Tahoe with friends. We slipped the usher a few $$ and got a table in front of the stage. Watching Carlos play up close was incredible.
He has recorded and performed a lot of cool material. The Inner Secrets album has a lot of good stuff on it too, I think it was next after Moonflower. @Pretzel
Yes, he is extremely good with creating energy with altered and diminished chordal patterns in the right way, creating motion and energy within scales. A very uplifting guitarist. Very soulful.
