Have you tried an app to teach yourself how to play the piano?

I used to have that Mini Piano App.. It would work well on a big tablet if you had one.. It said it was suppose to be able to teach you how to play but i could never figure out how to get it to do it.. But..

My kid whom has a weekly piano lesson with a teacher, tried a couple apps and they both totally sucked.

It isn't exactly that, but take a look at SmartMusic. It may require the learner to be able to read music.

Back in the early 80's my aunt had an electric organ with keys that lit up to help teach how to play it.
