To all the SW guitar players.

Do you think an antique American made Fender Stratocaster in a factory tweed case that is in new condition with the factory strings still on it would sell quickly? It is in new condition with no scratches. How much do you think it would sell for?

I have no idea what's it's current value is, but a vintage Strat in excellent condition with original case will certainly have a fair share of interested buyers.

I am guessingthat if you google the serial number the serial numver on the back of rhe headstock you might get the year and from there a value

🤔.................Need to do some research on the serial number and model number to see if there is anything special about this guitar.

It looks clean - if it's and American Strat it's stamped Made in USA

They sell $1200 and up - check out Reverb for comps - not sure how fast they sell...

@fun4us2b Thank you very much 🙂🙂🙂

Age and exact model?

If it is genuine vintage it'll sell easily I'd expect.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@OldBrit I bought it new around 1995.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@Musicman not really old enough to be claimed antique or vintage in the guitar market.

With that model you'd be looking at about £1,100 in UK probably.

I just saw one that looks like this on ebay for $650.00, but it has a different case.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou Looks can be deceiving. They made different grades.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Just looking again 22 fret neck and two point trem so not considered a collectable vintage model.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I have an American Standard just like that one, except black with a white pickguard. Underrated guitars!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@uncalled4 A buddy of mine had one and I loved it. 🙂🙂🙂

It depends on its provenance, was it privately owned by a celebrity guitarist, or just some random non known person, as well as its date of manufacture and serial number.

@Musicman

Sell it to someone who will actually play the thing ...

Dont think about the money part , a guitar is meant to be played , not as an exhibition piece ..
Musicman · 61-69, M
@BobbyMoeven That would make me very happy 🙂
