On Zombies...and other things.
My wife loved Zombie movies. It didn't matter if it was a good movie or a bad one. Old or new. As long as it had Zombies, wed watch it.
I ve watched some many zombie movies that I could probably tell you the title by looking at the zombie.
I was watching one the other day and I realized my attention was only on the survival of the main characters.
Wondering if the lady was going to make it to the helicopter in time. Or...How is that guy going to get out from under the Tank!! Surrounded!
Then I thought ... What about that one family that drove by real fast , they crashed into another vehicle and in seconds the zombies were on them like ...I mean ...fast!...Chomp ..chomp...Gone!
They almost made it, instead they became Collateral Damage in the movie to help further the main characters story. Gone, nobody knowing who they are.
Now, the ones that almost make it are always surprised when life hits them.
Why are you surprised?...I always think...
Have you not been paying attention. There's zombies out there eating people, what did you think was going to happen?
I think they are surprised because they saw themselves as the main character in the plot. Just like we see ourselves as the main character in ours.
But everybody, from the lowest to the richest acts surprised when life hits them. They never saw themselves as the ones who would almost make it.
But, as life shoots on, many are the ones that almost make it. The ones that become the outside of the fire.
They become Life's Collateral Damage.
I wonder sometimes if I'm one of those.
But still walking around feeling like im the main character in the movie.
