So I'm watching this space show

And they are worrying about running out of fuel to keep moving.....like what? objects don't lose momentum in the vacuum of space -_-

If only it was a complete vacuum then...

@NerdyPotato a complete vacuum? Is the hull leaking oxygen out the back or something? I mean I thought about the fact they appear to be using artificial gravity not magnetic boots. But if that was the case their muscle atrophy from being in space would be resolved

@NerdyPotato Then again it's a tv show so whatever they say goes. But still
@pride49 oh, I thought you meant fuel to move the spaceship. You know, there's planets, asteroids, debris, etc.

But they could also be using fuel to keep oxygen circulating, or power the lights.

@pride49 there's always some gravitational pull though, so you'll need a little fuel. Whether that's an issue depends on how long they've been there though.

@NerdyPotato it literally would only take small bursts to achieve maximum velocity -_-
@pride49 they need to be big enough to get the mass going, but once you're up to speed, it only takes little to keep that up indeed.
