Some shows get too bleak to where you just stop caring 😕

Even if it may have likable characters, well-written stories and is an overall decent show. Or it would be, but when things just always end consistently bad for the protagonists to where there's no meaningful conflict, because the negative outcome is always predictable, there are simply no stakes in it for the audience. What's the point of rooting for the good guys and hoping they come on top when they never do? There's nothing wrong with having a show that's dark, grim, or even depressing, but you gotta have the good guys overcome something once in a while or else, it's just too cynical and people sorta tune out of it.
