I’m watching The Dead Zone (2002-2007 tv series)

I loved the movie with Christopher Walker, and was surprised how much I actually enjoyed the tv series when it came out.
I was also surprised how much the Anthony Michael Hall I remembered from the 80s
had changed…

I had an interesting experience where I started to read the first half of the book about 50 years ago and then finished the second half, 30 years later.
@Pfuzylogic It came out in 1979. My father has been a Stephen King fan since forever. He bought me the book, and then I saw the movie in 1983.

Right when I joined the Navy, no wonder I got too busy! The 30 year gap was my “coma”.

@geoam1 I read the book initially, too. One of his best, and the movie captured the story so well.

It was weird seeing him in that recent Halloween film.

@bijouxbroussard Videodrome was a strange one.
@uncalled4 Scanners and the remake of The Fly, were also two where he pulled out all the stops.

@bijouxbroussard He can be awfully self-indulgent, and yet it worked 90% of the time.
