I wonder about him still. He wasn't a bad man. Saw him a couple of times on English breakfast shows and he was a pretty good interviewer then. Plus his documentary on his family during WOII was impressive too. Nowadays I think that he just aired on his famously "out there" tv-shows what was going in modern society and now on the internet already. Brought it into the mainstream for all of us to think it over. Just think of how much someone like Tucker Carlson did more bad than Jerry Springer. In an obituary for him, The Irish Times wrote that he had changed the "television medium" through "The Jerry Springer Formula", which was "straightforward, despicable and ingenious". No, I had respect for the guy. May he rest in peace.

Sad news I used to enjoy his shows .. he had a cheeky side to him , he knew how to raise the tempo . While at the same where Empathy was called for , he never missed his cue.

79 isn't the longest lived ..but I bet he had a blast ... And that makes up for everything really 🎉

I'm not saying he was an inherently bad man,and of course his death is a tragedy on a human level. But the fact is that is show was an inane,off-putting piece of trash that went straight for the lowest common denominator in terms of both T.V quality and basic dignity.
