I Love The Walking Dead [The Walking Dead]

Do you like "Fear the Walking Dead" as much as the original "Walking Dead" - or not as much, or the same? Does anyone else think the "walkers" used to be scarier at first...and not so much now? Have we all just gotten used to them? They move sooooooo slowly! I think: It would be SO easy to get away from them! Unless, of course, the writers WANT you to get bitten!

I like fear the walking dead better than the regular walking dead. I read that the reason that they are moving so slowly now is because all the zombies only have a limited lifespan... or deadspan depending on how you think of it. So I saw a chart showing how the zombies age over time, so they start out fast and stronger but over time as they decay they slow down until basically they can no longer walk. So apparently both shows are using this concept in their shows, which is why i guess that they've had to start using opposing gangs of humans as the main antagonists rather than just zombie hoards.

@IWasCallingYaLarry I thought the concept was going to be really dumb, but actually it's really good. It's not really a spoof of the walking dead but it's a show that holds it's own as in, it doesn't try to replicate anything from the walking dead, other than survivors trying to survive the apocolypse.

The actual premise of the show is cool. There is this one guy who was bitten by a zombie and survives as mostly human but it's like he's part zombie inside and can communicate with them telepathically. This can often be funny, but his blood is considered a potential cure or vaccine for the human race. So a group of survivors are asked to try and transport him across the wastelands of the US to the CDC where a group of surviving scientists are locked inside and waiting. The show has got better as it's gone along.

@SW-User I remember my friend at work who used to watch it when it started out saying the main character can control the zombies.

@IWasCallingYaLarry Yeah, it's a combination of serious, funny, sometimes sad and just way out there with many wtf moments haha.

For some reason, I don't like the characters in Fear the Walking Dead that much. Maybe it's because the story between the two series have now run their course.

@BizSuitStacy I think you're right. I watch it now and it seems like all the plots are just being recycled over and over in slightly different ways. It's become tiresome, like ho-hum, here we go again...killing walkers...

I'm starting to enjoy Fear better as Walking Dead just seems to go around in circles. I thought the Walkers seem to be much faster now then they were during earlier Seasons.

@MethDozer Agreed! The whole "Carl thing" was kind of too sickening, trying too hard to "pull at your heart-strings." I preferred the Governor...he had more of a subtle charm....but yea, maybe they could do something different like make some of the walkers start to have a little intelligence....

@cherryblueberryraspberry The idea Began got the jump.in them nut then,plot twist🙄, Eugene turns out to sabotage the ammunition and every single round fails exactly to his plan saves the day kinda felt cheap too. Too fairytale.

Walking dead has gotten so lame it's almost boring to watch Fear is getting better although killing off Nick was a mistake right now I would have to say Fear the Walking Dead is better

Fear The Walking Dead is okay but really it's just a placeholder for whenever the main show is off the air between seasons.

About the only thing to look forward too right now on the original is the Whisperers eventually showing up but not sure how that will even work now cause Carl was very involved in that in the comics and he is dead on the tv version so not sure what the plan even is now
