The need for Xenophon established

For another view of Socrates, he was a graceful writer, who wanted to focus more on the good things, was held in high regard till the 19th century, but has regained most of his acclaim recently, lecture 4 in

In the previous lecture it was Aristophanes, who showed Socrates before he was like he was in the Platonic dialogues.

As Guthrie's work begins, he does establish the Presocratic topic through the lens of Plato and Aristotle, because that's as good as it gets, in that they're the earliest accounts, with the information we have for those earlier thinkers, for the most part.

Looks like the next lecture here will be more from Xenophon, but I like to be doing all of this MIX STYLE, and i'm having so much fun!!!

For Socrates to make a bold claim to know things, undermined religious views of the Gods. ///
