@Ghostinthemachine Since he was first diagnosed, it has been 6 years. Going on seven years, now.
It was 3rd stage inoperable lung cancer, and the V.A. told him 7 years ago to get his affairs in order...basically told him that he was going to die.
Dana Farber, however, treated the tumor with radiation, and there has been no recurrence. He is having some odd symptoms, like fluid building up in the sac around his lungs...usually almost a liter every time it is drained. That hasn't been fixed yet...but he is working on it.
