Is it just me or has this place gotten really toxic recently?

Or maybe I've just noticed more now that more of the people I got along with have left. It seems like there's about 200% more negativity here than there was.

I might take a break from this place, probably for the best

my observation of it started during the Obama administration in the US
political comment were more rabid on both sides. got worse with trump and spilled over into areas.

your mileage may vary :)

and the comments from people that are attacked and ganged up on seem to increase. there's some real middle-school mojo going on that is not addressed by the powers that be.

That's nothing. Go back in Time when EP was around in 2015 and 16. Nothing can compare. It was way worse than here.
