@Munumbis The original was considered extremely liberal to begin with. It only follows that it goes along with today's trends.
Perhaps you don't remember that just the mini shirts were controversial. Not to mention the mixed race crew, with women officers.
All of that was controversial. It's the very premise of the whole series. New ideas, new concepts. The first interracial kiss was on the original Star Trek. It almost was cancelled because of that one.

The whole series is about change itself.
If you complain about being "woke" you must complain about even the original series. Because that's exactly what the whole series is about. Every single one!
