Star Trek: Picard

There is news about a continuing show that could be called Star Trek: Legacy. Some of the actors from ST: Picard and Star Trek: DS9 could reprise their roles. But I have a huge problem with this.

At the end of Deep Space Nine (DS9) Captain Sisko, Gul Dukat and an ancient book fall into the chasm where the Pah-wraiths were summoned by the book. Since the book burns up, Dukat is forever trapped with the Pah-wraiths, and SIsko is with the Prophets in the wormhole. He makes a vision to his wife Kasidy Yates and says he has a lot of work to do, and doesn't know when he'll be back.

Okay, I understand time in that story can pass. But as far as I'm concerned, if they bring back Sisko, then they need to explain the enormous time gap. Other problem, the actors who played Odo and Nog, have both since passed away. Odo went back to his home planet to cure his people, and Nog had just recently been promoted in rank. While I'm sure their missing appearances can be explained in the story, I just feel like it would be a rush job to get another show out, and no care would be taken to that aspect of the story.

They should leave it alone. There's no need to dredge up a perfect show and sulley it's memory.
Star Trek with Pike is nearly perfect.

Leave it alone already.

So very sick of bad incarnations.

don't believe the announcements of future projects. right now Paramount is bleeding cash and trying to create buzz and boost the value of the Star Trek franchise so they can sell it and get some money fast
