One thing I never understood about Data from TNG.....

If he had no emotions then how could he yearn to be "human"?

He was always curious and intrigued by humans and humanity. He was also programmed to expand his knowledge of basic things. You could see in the first season of TNG, he had the intellect and the mind of a curious child.
