I Like Startrek Deep Space Nine

sisko isn't my favorite captain, that distinction is held by Jon Archer. but traversing back through DS9 has reminded me of the conflicted friendships and growing pains of this crew. the star trek universe has always tried to be diverse in its casting and this motley crew is no different. a good starship crew will involve characters so dynamic you cannot help but find yourself within each of them, regardless of their species, gender, religious or political leanings. I'm a little Sisko, parent and survivor finding my way in a world and role I am not necessarily accustomed to. I am a little Kira, raised within conflict and always one step away from breaking the rules to help out the underdog. I'm a little Dr. Bashir wide eyed and overly confident. a little Miles, thinking too much for my own good and placing myself in danger so others don't have to.
I want to be more Odo, more Quark, and especially I want to be more Dax. could she be the most perfect woman? or the antithesis of...
