@DeWayfarer I remember my grandmother's from the 50s. It was more basic than the one in your picture. The sides of the tub were plain, and the wringer didn't have a motor on it. It had a hand-crank on the side.

@PhoenixPhail The one's with motorized wringers were a child safety hazard. My half brother I remember telling me to say away from the whole thing. Kids were getting their hands and clothes stuck into the wringer.
