Technologically - it's so ahead of it's time...considering it came out in 1968!
You almost have to see it a couple of times to "get it"....there's no blood or crazy music but when the two guys go in the pod so Hal wont' hear them...things get freaky....the ending?...that's been up for debate for 50 years.....

@Oliver2007 I'm not condoning the use of weed but I would suggest it at least once while you watch it....
