It scares me how people put on a good show in the beginning.

Like you're only getting to know a performance and eventually it's all gonna become twisted and stressful and painful.

I think it would be best not to actively be searching for a relationship and focus on what other things offer good experiences, and through which an overall positive outlook would perhaps end up in being in a situation where an optimal partner would be there.

@Adroneandastrain that crap doesn't work. I'm happy doing my own thing, that's not the issue. The issue is when a man comes along and he's sweet and attentive and you start to feel warm for someone who is only an image. I'm cool, but I don't want to be fooled.

Lie, cheat and steal appears to be the norm anymore. It seems to be a cross between “Basic Instinct” and “Misery”. Also throw a little “Fatal Attraction” in for good measure.
