I'm not into scary movies but want to give Hellraiser a go but the trailer doesn't tell me much, so what is the movie about?

It's basically about a mystical puzzle box that summons these sado masochistic demon things called Cenobites who then torture the shit out of you. It gained a cult following largely because of the main evil character, Pinhead.
