We camped there and just visted the lodge.
I remember the lodge being pretty spectacular.
It had a big rustic cabin feel with a huge fireplace in the lobby area and alot of gift shops.
A big tourist attraction because everyone goes there to see the geysers.

@GoFish
The little marmots at the lodge were funny though.
They would come out of thier holes exactly at the same time before the geysers were scheduled to go off.
Stand at a pose for pictures and then collect their goodies from the tourists and go back to their holes.
I had this funny picture in my head of these marmots getting ready in the dressing room underground.

@GoFish I’ve never been there. Did visit Yosemite and Sequoia in 2018 and the prices were really reasonable considering the restaurants and grocery store was on a mountain where everything had to be trucked in up the mountains for a very long distance.

@cherokeepatti my dad wanted to take us to Yosemite on the way to my youngest bros wedding in Canada but that year cali was on fire and the park was closed because of it.. we saw part of the south side of the grand canyon tho .. and the redwoods and a bear with her cub crossed the road in front of our car.. fern trails in Northern Cali is beautiful too and the dusty trails through the deep woods are like from a prehistoric movie the large shady trees and giant ferns.. covered in dust looking ancient
