Hiiiiii.......ya!

A ninja doesn’t move unseen because they’re invisible...

...they move unseen because they notice everything first.

Working in a mental hospital feels the same.

You learn to read the room before it speaks.

A shift in breath, a flicker in the eyes, silence that’s louder than shouting...

....reminding yourself, those are your footsteps in the dark.

A ninja survives by anticipating danger.

We survive in life by recognizing pain before it becomes danger.

Both require stillness.

Both demand presence.

And in both worlds, the greatest skill isn’t control at all..

...it’s awareness without ego,
seeing without needing to be seen.

Stay Ninja my friends.

My aunt did that job and every summer growing up from age 12 onward she would have me and my other cousin volunteer at the Saint John Centracare (formerly asylum) doing the penny fair for the mental health patients. It was a lot of fun. Only the well-behaved were allowed to attend the penny fair. But I did see some people during my time volunteering there that scared me.

I truly admire anyone who does your job
