I still can't believe this show was on Nickelodeon for how dark it got 😱
Avatar: The Last Airbender was darker and more action-oriented than most other cartoons on Nickelodeon, but The Legend of Korra cranked that up to eleven! Exploring real-world issues like of fanaticism and terrorism, graphic on-screen character deaths and getting pretty frickin' bleak on more than one occasion. I'd expect a show like that to air on Cartoon Network, which specialized in the actiony and more mature (for kids, anyway) cartoons.
