Resident Evil is one hell of a scary ride!
Listen, folks, I don’t care what the cynics and the big-city elites say. Director Zach Cregger has taken the iconic Resident Evil franchise and completely redefined what cinematic terror is supposed to feel like.
Cregger takes the world of Resident Evil and delivers a movie that grabs you by the throat, throws you into Raccoon City, and doesn’t let go until the credits roll. Cregger infuses every single frame with a suffocating, breathless panic that leaves you clutching your armrests and gasping for air.
Austin Abrams is terrific as Bryan, an ordinary medical courier who discovers that delivering one mysterious package can turn into the worst -- and most exciting -- night of his life. Bryan finds himself trapped in the absolute epicenter of a waking nightmare when Raccoon City collapses into blood-soaked chaos.
Forget everything you think you know. This isn’t just another video game adaptation. This is Resident Evil the way you always wanted it: zombies, monsters, blood, bullets, screaming, dark humor, and enough surprises to make you check the back seat of your car on the way home!
Cregger understands what makes the games so addictive. Every hallway could contain something horrible. Every bullet matters. Every door could lead to something that wants to eat you. And somehow, just when you think you’ve seen everything, Resident Evil pulls another monster out of the closet.
The monsters are visceral, the gore is relentless, and the tension is thicker than a fog over the Arklay Mountains. It is smart, it is relentless, and above all, movies simply do not get more exciting than this!
A terrifying thrill ride from beginning to end!
The movie doesn’t waste time explaining every little piece of mythology. Instead, it drops you into the nightmare and lets you survive it alongside Bryan. It’s funny, it’s nasty, it’s unpredictable, and it’s packed with the kind of outrageous creature work that makes horror fans cheer.
It’s the movie you’ve been waiting for! A terrifying, exhilarating, blood-soaked thrill ride! You’ll scream! You’ll laugh! You’ll never look at a medical courier the same way again!
Forget the old rules. This is a new Resident Evil -- and it’s one hell of a good time!

My son said it was great. It has to be, it's by the same guy who made Barbarian and Weapons.
