I visited my American best friend over the past weekend who lives on Long Island. Her new house is five minutes away from the real Amityville horror house so we had to do a drive-by.

@Tumbleweed The house was destroyed in the third Amytiville Horror movie. The real house is pretty much standing today. I'm sure the house was rebuilt and destroyed several times in the movies and books.
