I've seen a few including one of the Rob Zombie ones but generally, violence for the sake of violence doesn't appeal to me. Totally Killer was good though and funny.

Would you people believe that Stephen King got HATE MAIL from the movie "The Shining" which was directed by Stanley Kubrick, probably the greatest film maker of all time. How is that possible?
The book Shining was scary as hell. Kubrick, the ultimate control freak, changed the ending of the story and created a huge yawn.
The only thing memorable about that movie was Jack Nicholson sticking his head through the bathroom door and saying "HERE'S JOHNNY" (which was an ad lib line, by the way.

I can remember a double feature at a drive in. (Yes, boys and girls. I'm THAT old.) Took my wife and our cat. And a six pack of some Polish beer.
The two movies were Halloween and Carrie.
Halloween was pretty good, pretty scary.
Carrie scared the living shit out of us.

No as such slasher, but I'd say Mandy.
It's gory, but also a mindful and psychedelic.
I stick with the Universal Studio classics.
