Even if I'm not interested, generally I'll respond to someone out of politeness if a question is asked. If someone messages me a statement and don't have anything relevant to respond, I might not reply. If someone is really creepy, I might not respond at all.

@Starcrossed one word replies or “lol” usually indicates to me they aren’t interested in carrying on the conversation any further
