agreed. It was awesome right up to the end. I think the writer "phoned it in" in order to meet deadline. I can't imagine any other reason why it went down hill so bad.

GoT was a major pop culture phenomen for almost a decade... people talked about it and there were cross references and nods to it everywhere... and then it just died.. people completely lost interresst in it... the only thing that people remember now is how awful the ending was. i dont think there is any franchise that crashed that bad from thop notch to completely irrelevant that fast.
Seasons 1-6 were top quality. I could live with season 7 but the last season just angers me, when I talk about it with friends I get really frustrated on how it ended.
The way the White Walker storyline played out was pathetic, they built this up from the very first scene of the whole series and then pay it off the way they did 🤬
