I Like Game Of Thrones

Lol

Jokes aside. The latest episode was pretty tragic. My heart sunk :( what did you think about it?

When the show started to move beyond George's books, the show changed. The books were all about subverting the tropes of fantasy fiction. Once they show went beyond the books, though, it became more about simply following those tropes, because that's clearly what a lot of the viewers wanted to have happen.

Last night's episode was more of a return to the concept of subverting fantasy tropes, but also subverting the audience's desires and expectations.

There are a lot of viewers who were rooting for Dany to do what she had promised, to break the wheel. As someone else put it, it looks like the wheel has broken Dany, and in so doing, created the worst monster we've yet encountered on the show.

However, it also makes the choice of who to root for much easier.

It also may have explained why it had to be Arya who killed the Night King — or, really, anyone other than Jon Snow.

@DunningKruger Yeah she became so hateful over the past few episodes. You could see it building, she was always portrayed as mostly kind and just but I think that's the message of the show, that the need for power makes you corrupt, as it did with cersei, dany became just as bad as her. I felt a lot of sympathy for her in this episode

It was a little to "neat" for my liking but you know, there's only one left so it has to end (literally)…..
