Good decision. When it comes to friendship choose wise and choose fast. Don't waste time in hope. Especially when you are at a certain point in life.
Also remember there are no perfect companion. Only people whose flaws and virtues we can work with perfectly.
Ps : On very rare occasion, when you lucky stars align perfectly and God is smiling on you.....you meet that almost perfect being. I can testify on that. But that's very rare.

sounds like a normal filtration process. we have tons of aquaintances, from those we choose who we want to actually hang out with and those we don't, from those friends we choose the one we really like the most and make them close friends. many times I've given a test run to some aquaintances to see if we could be actual friends and concluded that no, we won't.
