I love how The Long Farewell ends

Big elegant party that a mom and son are at they have a bit of a struggle but here she breaks away from the crowded area with tears of joy and sadness mixed son reassuring her and camera rests on her facial expressions before the end title card fills the screen.

Next up is Muratova’s The Asthenic Syndrome her breakout film which for me explodes with such raw unbridled creativity with a Parajanov touch with a touch of Jodorowsky, and early experimental Schroeter!!… it’s on YouTube btw but not remastered.
