Some thoughts as I watch The Long Farewell by Kira Muratova

[media=https://youtu.be/KxNiyctaYRQ]

This is the 2nd in the collection of her films on CC, she's still making what is generally a normal kind of 60s b/w film here with tiny little flourishes that can be termed New Wave experimentations, like what Godard did in his 60s films, but Godard didn't really go into the emotions of his characters, Kira does. It opens with a couple ladies in a garden just small talk with nice relaxing piano music, then on a bus mother and son I believe, small talk, story about to be revealed maybe what their relationship is like.

Film when serious is to expose actual and real human dynamics with other humans, it's the most complex canvas out there for those who don't have the time for otherworldly things.

And I love talking through a film, i would do this to a brick wall if need be!!
